Where Arabs meet Swiss: Together with people of different nationalities Hoda and her friends want to build a bridge between Arab and Swiss cultures. In the region of Basel, a meeting place is being created where Arabs can find help and direction for their lives in Switzerland. Particularly Swiss people, but also all others from other origins can make easy contact with the Arab and Middle Eastern culture. Arab Swiss House provides a space for people of all origins who are willing to meet each other with respect and openness.
Our project is divided into three sections:
Arab Swiss House was founded in 2013 as an independent, politically and religiously neutral association. Where are we today? Since our inception we have been active and successful in all three sections. Our big goal – to build a physical Meeting point (on solid ground) – has yet to be achieved.
